Molecularly imprinted polymers in miniaturized extraction and separation devices

Molecularly imprinted polymers are highly selective and cost-effective materials, which have attracted significant interest in various areas such as sample pretreatment chromatographic electrophoretic separations. This review aims to present the state of art concerning miniaturization these materials order meet societal demand for reliable, fast, cheap, solvent/sample saving analyses. The polymerization route specificities production miniaturized molecularly capillaries or chip channels, open tubular, packed particles, magnetic nanoparticles, situ monoliths, investigated. Their performances supports solid phase extraction stationary phases electrochromatography liquid chromatography, well their possible perspectives discussed.
